The Lance Family Kiddos 9/26/2012

I am so excited to get this blog started for the kids! They grow and have new experiences everyday and honestly I think they have to be the funniest kids I have ever met! This will really just be a space for family to keep up with us and our super busy transition from the northwest to the East Coast! We are all very excited about the move! We were afraid that the kids, especially Molly, would have a hard time with the news. She smiled wide and said "Yay! New House! New School! New People!" Luckily we have raised our kids to accept change instead of rebel against it. I think that is an important quality especially being a Navy family.

SO here is the scoop on the Kids!

Molly: She started 2nd Grade this year and she is doing better than ever. For the last 2 years she has been involved in the title 1 program. It allows a tutor of sorts to work with Molly individually for 20 minutes every day so that she can get caught up with her classmates. This year she no longer needs that extra help. She had her first set of homework last night, 4 pages of math and she did not ask for help once. She breezed through it and got it all right! In fact, Dad and I had a little giggle at one of her answers : "I poot the number in my head..." It was the only mistake she made, but a cute one none the less. Yesterday was picture day and I must say she finally looked herself this year! I am very excited to see how they turn out!

Avrie: Avrie is 4 going on 22.. She is smart as a whip. She is a very LOGICAL little girl and much of our decisions she demands an explanation or tries to explain why we are wrong. She argues back and bot does daddy have a hard time with that. Ha! I get Avrie and fortunately understand her circle of logic so it is easier for me to handle her.. sometimes! We have decided to give her a head start with schooling and have bought several materials for her to do a make shift preschool here at home. I accidentally bought the Kindergarten workbook and not the Pre-School one and she is breezing through every section. She is reading a few words and we have ALMOST corrected the mirror writing she has so conveniently adopted. On top of all that, she is an INCREDIBLE little artist. I know she gets that from her Daddy.

Carli: Well, Carli is our little Piggy. She is struggling with potty training but we will get there eventually. She loves going outside with her sisters and riding on the trike. She is still being destructive but not as bad. I am hoping we are just about done with that phase. Carli is her daddy's girl. She is spoiled but hey, what are dad's for?! She is super excited for "ginia"!

Colton: AKA Poop-caso. Colton has a lovely habit of taking his diaper off and creating masterpieces with his uh.. sculpting clay? Or  sometimes he pretends to be a super hero and bombs the world below him, chucking the pieces and making the sounds effects "Pew..Pew" .. Unfortunately it's hard not to laugh cause he is so darn cute. The beat part his when he throws his head back and laughs malevolently .. maybe he isn't the hero, he is the villain! Colt is not walking quite yet but we don't mind. He can stay in baby mode for as long as he wants!

Well there you have it! The latest scoop on the kids! I will be posting about the kids once a week and posting photos as well. Hope you enjoyed!
